Kamloops RCMP are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in drive-by, BB-gun shooting two weeks ago.

The suspect in a green Audi shot at a person on the 200-block of Tranquille Road, but he missed and damaged the glass doors at a nearby business, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.

A review of surveillance footage showed a brief confrontation between the two involved before shots were fired, police say.

Police were called to the scene around 8:40 a.m. on March 25, but neither the shooter nor intended target were at the scene when officers arrived.

The Caucasian male suspect was in a green Audi with B.C. licence plate LR3 58P, RCMP said.

"We are releasing the driver's image... with hope that information will be provided by the public to help further the police investigation," Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

Information on this incident or the suspect involved can be provided to RCMP at 250-828-3000, with reference to file number 2021-9184.
