KAMLOOPS - Police are looking for a suspect who broke into a Sahali apartment early this morning.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release that a break and enter with threats was reported to police at approximately 2:15 a.m. today, Jan. 16.

The complainant was in his bedroom on the ground level when someone broke into the window and entered the room, Shelkie says.

The suspect allegedly had a knife and threatened the occupant to hand over his valuables. The suspect then escaped with a laptop, cell phone and the complainant's wallet.

Police attended to the Arrowstone Drive apartment and tried to track the suspect with the police dog services, but no suspect was located.

The suspect is described as having dark skin, approximately 25 years old, six feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black toque, black winter jacket with a fur-lined hood and carrying a black backpack. The knife he used is described a Bowie knife with a wooden handle.

If you can identify the suspect or have information about this break and enter call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
