KAMLOOPS - Police found and arrested a man who allegedly fled the scene of an accident at Summit Drive and McGill Road yesterday.
Around noon, police redirected traffic from the area while they cleaned up the mess and used a police service dog to search for the driver of a black Hyundai Sonata. Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Edward Preto said in a release today, Jan. 1, a 59-year-old man was arrested and released to appear in court.
Police are recommending several charges, including prohibited driving.
"The Sonata was not insured and had a stolen licence plate on it at the time of the accident," he says.
