Kamloops police investigating after man found beaten with baseball bat

Kamloops police are looking for suspects in two crimes from the weekend, including a man wanted for beating another man with a bat.

On May 2, 2021 just before 5 p.m., Kamloops RCMP was called to the 700 block of Fortune Drive for the assault with the bat. They found the victim behind a business but he was uncooperative. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect took off in a red Dodge Durango. Police have no description of the assailant, other than the vehicle

Also during the weekend, police were called to a robbery in the 900 block of Columbia Street West Sunday around 10:30 p.m. A man allegedly stole property, then produced a knife when confronted by an employee before leaving on foot. He is described as Caucasian, 5’7", 25 to 30 years old, with a crown tattoo on his face and flower tattoo on his hand. He was wearing a red sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

If you have information on crime, contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
