Kamloops police arrest two people with stolen goods in their car

KAMLOOPS – A pair of suspects are facing charges related to break and enters earlier this week after Kamloops RCMP found stolen goods in their car.

The pair, a 32-year-old Kamloops man and 27-year old Kamloops woman, have been arrested in connection to two break and enters on Monday, July 10, and Wednesday, July 12, according to an RCMP media release. They are known to police.

Neighbours reported a suspicious vehicle in the area. This morning, July 13, police found the vehicle in Aberdeen on Dunbar Drive. Inside they found the duo and the items allegedly stolen during the break-ins.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says two things helped the police make the arrests.

“First, citizens in the area of the break and enters noticed a suspicious vehicle and were able to give a good description of it,” Shelkie says in the release. "Second, the victims supplied a detailed list and description of the items that were stolen from their homes. When the officers came upon the vehicle, they could immediately tell that the items inside matched the description of the stolen items.”
