Kamloops man faces charges after commercial theft

A Kamloops man is scheduled to appear in court today to answer to a charge of theft.

Dustin Joel Poudrier, 34, is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 after allegedly stealing from a commercial location in the 1100 block of Columbia Street West the evening of Aug. 7, according to an RCMP media release.

Poudrier, who is well-known to police, was located by officers on 6 Avenue and Victoria Street, arrested, and held in custody.

He has a date with a judge today, Aug. 10.
 
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information pertaining to this investigation is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-27321.
