KAMLOOPS - A local man recently appeared on a television dating show, in China.
In July Dr. Dali Li, a Kamloops dentist, participated in the Chinese dating show “If You Are the One” as one of a group of Canadians featured in an episode. The show is popular in China, according to a press release from the Kamloops Chinese Cultural Association, with up to 50 million viewers per an episode.
Li was one of 10 male contestants from across Canada appearing on the show, with profiles on each of their hometowns.
While the show is in Mandarin, locals might be interested in clips from the show with Li in different places around Kamloops. The clips include shots of downtown, Riverside Park and the Tobiano area. There is also a section with his co-workers in a dental clinic talking about him. His section of the show runs from the the 57 minute mark of the linked clip for about 15 minutes.
The program also included an introduction from Chinese ambassador Wei Liu and MP Don Davies.
