It's International Coffee Day! Celebrate at these favourite local Okanagan cafés

It's International Coffee Day, and if that's not an excuse to grab yourself a cup o' joe, we don't know what is. 

Whether you're a caffeine junkie or latte connoisseur, you can support local and celebrate at one of these local cafés in the Okanagan.

Pulp Fiction is located downtown on the corner of Pandosy Street and Lawrence Avenue. Not only do they boast artful lattes and baked treats, but Pulp Fiction is chock full of antiques, collector books, and vintage posters that owner Max Sloan collected over almost 50 years. Learn more here.

Kootenay Coffee is tucked into the Willow Park shopping centre in Rutland. You can also find them in their second location at 1019 Richter Street. If you're a fan of fresh baked cinnamon buns, Kootenay Coffee is where you want to be.

Formerly Canoe Coffee, Bright Jenny is named after the owner's wife. They've got an outdoor patio to catch those fall rays, and lots of opportunities for aesthetic Instagram photos. Find them at 984 Laurel Avenue downtown.

Take advantage of the last warm, sunny days of the season on Bean Scene's rooftop patio downtown on Bernard. You can also grab a coffee at their Mission location on Pandosy or in the Landmark District. If you're in Vernon, visit their location at 2923 30th Avenue.

Pop into a Bliss Bakery in Peachland, West Kelowna, or downtown on Ellis. It goes without saying their made-in-house goodies are an essential addition to your cup o' joe.

 

Marmalade Cat

The Marmalade Cat Café is as funky and colourful inside as it is on the outside. Find it on the corner of Pandosy and West Avenue in the Mission. Check out their selection of fresh baking, lunch specials and local art on the walls. 

 

Vernon

Bean to Cup

Bean to Cup is a little Vernon gem tucked away at 3903 27 Street. Soak up those fall rays on their patio, or if you're looking for a different kind of heat, you can try their famous butter chicken with your coffee.

 

The Boarding House Café

The Boarding House Café is located at 3101 on 31 Avenue, and they are proudly Vernon's only board game café. They've got over 300 games to choose from, so bring some friends and get ready to win.

Celebrate small batch Honduran specialty coffee at Seis Cielo Coffee. Their beans come straight from the farmers to Penticton, where they're roasted locally. Seis Cielo is located at 166 Main Street.
