NARAMATA - Tickets for one of the most popular tailgate parties in the Okanagan are on sale now.
The Annual Naramata Tailgate Party put on by the Naramata Bench Wineries Association, takes place Saturday, Sept. 14 the Naramata Heritage Inn.
Taste, tapas, and tunes are the order of the evening that this year will have a roaring '20s theme. It's the era when Naramata and the Naramata Heritage Inn got underway. And, while you needed a password to get into speakeasies of the '20s, you just need your ticket to get into this celebration of Naramata wines and culinary delights.
If you choose to dress the part, there will be prizes for the best costumes. Flappers were the fashion in the 1920s for women and Harry Houdini, Babe Ruth, Amelia Earhart, Don Juan, Charlie Chaplin, Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, and John Dillinger were the talk of the era. Jazz was hot and the blues were cool, and the Charleston was the dance craze.
Restaurants included in the event are The Vanilla Pod at Poplar Grove Winery; The Kitchen at Da Silva Winery; Hillside Winery Bistro; The Patio at Lake Breeze Vineyards; The Oven at Upper Bench Estate Winery; Smuggler’s Smoke House at Red Rooster Winery; and the 1908 Restaurant at the Naramata Heritage Inn.
