KELOWNA – Multi-media artist Erick Thompson will host a stage presentation called “Talk Show” on Friday, November 18, at 7 pm at the Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge. The show is a fast-paced mix of short stories, interesting guests and live music.

“This is an interactive show about people, and people are funny,” says Thompson. “It’s the grey area where real life and performance art come together, one stage at a time.”
Thompson, a former TV news anchor and reporter, has created several shows and feature segments on a variety of topics. Thompson co-owns a communications company (ET2media) with his wife Erin Trainer in Summerland.

“Talk Show” includes three special guests: Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran, TV host and producer Lisa Marie (Redl) and distiller Grant Stevely. The live soundtrack is provided by the Tavis Weir Group featuring acclaimed Okanagan musicians Tavis Weir, Stefan Bienz and Michael Treadway. The trio plays a mix of original folk, rock, jazz, funk and experimental music.

Tickets for "Talk Show" are $10 and can be reserved by calling Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge at 250.860.9500.

“Talk Show” contains some coarse language and is not intended for people who are easily offended.
