A Kamloops man took to the air this weekend in a motorized glider to capture birds-eye views of Sun Peaks on the ski resort's opening day.
Jan Nademlejnsky filmed his trip from takeoff to landing at the Kamloops Airport, Nov. 21.
Towards the end of the clip, Nademlejnsky flies low to feature the unique formations of sandbars near the airport.
It was a great day for flying, as opening day skiers were greeted with a bluebird sky and lots of fresh snow at Sun Peaks Mountain Resort.
The snow base mid-mountain is currently 88cm, and 90cm at alpine level. The resort is forecasting more snow coming tomorrow, Nov. 24.
