An airborne tire launched from a commercial truck struck an coming semi in northeastern B.C. recently.

The tire became airborne after it fell off one commercial vehicle and struck another near Taylor, north of Dawson Creek.

While crossing the two-lane bridge over the Peace River, a tire from an oncoming semi detached and rolled straight into the grill of the semi whose driver's dash cam was recording the incident.

The tire hit the grill, spraying muck on the windshield, and was bounced high into the air. It can be seen bouncing down the road coming to rest further down the bridge.

The video was posted to the Skilled Truckers Canada Facebook page today, Dec. 1.
