iN VIDEO: Erratically-driven RV recorded crashing on the Coquihalla
The driver of an RV on the Coquihalla last week did not appear to be fit to drive.
For nearly five minutes, the RV was recorded driving into pylons while going through a construction zone, making a risky pass, and striking a concrete barrier for no apparent reason.
After hitting the concrete barrier, the RV's awning began to dangle. A moment after that, it wiped out by drifting off the road, and then a pylon became dislodged.
"Are they having a medical emergency?" one woman can be heard asking. The people recording the video also ask aloud many times if the RV driver is drunk or on drugs.
There's no evidence of that. We have contacted RCMP and they are looking into it. The original poster hasn't responded to messages.
The people recording the incident, along with at least three other vehicles, pulled over to check on the occupants of the RV.
"Everyone’s OK, we’re OK," Amanda-Rae Bystedt posted to Facebook along with the video.
After people approach the smoking RV, a man could be seen stepping out before the video comes to an end.
