iN TRAFFIC: It's a foggy day for driving in the Interior
Drivers can expect foggy conditions along many Interior highways today, Jan. 14.
DriveB.C. is reporting patches of fog on Highway 1 from Kamloops to Sicamous, and water pooling in the Sicamous area; Highway 3 has patches of fog from Princeton to Hedley; it’s foggy on Highway 5 between Kamloops and Barriere and it’s slushy between the Great Bear Snowshed and Coquihalla Summit; both Highway 6EW and Highway 97 have water pooling and fog patches between Vernon and Coldstream; Highway 97A has fog patches and water pooling between Enderby and Sicamous; and Westside Road has water pooling and fog patches.
Looking at weather, in Kamloops there will be a high of 6 Celsius and a low of 3 C. Vernon will get a high of 5 C and low of 2 C. Kelowna is in for a high of 6 C and low of 2 C. And in Penticton temperatures however between 6 C ad 8 C.
At the ski hills, Big White Mountain Resort is reporting 12 centimetres of new snow and 68 cm in the past week. There has been 6 cm of snow Sun Peaks Ski Resort over the past 24 hours and 30 cm in the past week; SilverStar Mountain Resort last got 5 cm on Dec. 30 and has a fresh snow depth of 5 cm; and Apex Mountain Resort is reporting 4 cm of new snow and 17 cm over the past week.
