THREE AMIGOS TO TOUT CONTINENTAL CO-OPERATION

The love-in between Canada and Mexico will expand into a continental threesome today as U.S. President Barack Obama joins Justin Trudeau and Enrique Pena Nieto for the North American Leaders' Summit. The huddle, colloquially known as the Three Amigos summit, is expected to focus on clean energy and climate change.

CANADA CONDEMNS ATTACK AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT

Both Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion have both issued statements condemning a suicide bombing attack on Istanbul's Ataturk airport that killed at least 36 people and wounded many others. Officials in Turkey blame the attack on three suspected Islamic State bombers. Global Affairs Canada said it had no reports of any Canadians being injured in the attack.

ONE DEAD IN MISSISSAUGA, ONT., HOUSE EXPLOSION

One person was killed and nine others suffered minor injuries in an explosion that levelled one home and damaged at least two dozen others in Mississauga, Ont., west of Toronto on Tuesday. Authorities were waiting for the site to be secured before sending in crews to search for the cause of the blast. They could not say when evacuated residents in the area would be allowed to return to their homes.

BOMBARDIER TO HAND OVER FIRST CSERIES TO SWISS

After years of delay and big cost overruns, Bombardier's CSeries program is finally getting off the ground with the delivery of its first aircraft to Swiss International Air Lines. The CS100 plane will officially be handed over to the European carrier at a ceremony today at Montreal's Mirabel airport attended by government ministers, suppliers and Bombardier employees.

BENEFIT CONCERT FOR FORT MCMURRAY FIRE VICTIMS

Alberta honky tonker Corb Lund admits he's a bit nervous to be co-hosting a benefit concert for victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire. But he's determined to help in the one way he can. Lund is hosting the Fire Aid concert with Great Big Sea frontman Alan Doyle in Edmonton on Wednesday night. Other artists include Blue Rodeo, Dean Brody, Randy Bachman and Nickelback.

MOST CANADIANS HAPPY TO VACATION ON HOME SOIL: POLL

A new poll finds that while most Canadians have lived or travelled abroad, the majority see their homeland as a top vacation destination. A survey conducted by Ipsos Reid for Historica Canada says 68 per cent of participants agreed that "Canada has something for everyone, so why go anywhere else." About a third of respondents, on the other hand, said they think Canada is a great place to live but not that interesting to visit and they'd rather travel outside its borders.
