Impaired driver hits bus stop in Kelowna

An Enderby man has had his license suspended for a day and his vehicle towed after driving into a bus stop pole yesterday in Kelowna.

The 35-year-old Enderby man received a 24-hour driving suspension after his grey Dodge Journey hit a pole at a bus stop near the intersection of Sutherland Avenue and Pandosy Street, Feb. 24, according to an RCMP press release.

Police reported the collision caused minor damage to the vehicle and the pole.

Officers investigated and believe the driver’s ability to operate the vehicle was impaired by drugs.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
