Hundreds of dollars worth of cigarettes swiped in Westsyde

KAMLOOPS - A man who swiped roughly $800 in cigarettes from a Westsyde grocery store as caught on camera.

A Caucasian male made off with eight cartons of Canadian Classic cigarettes worth an estimated $800 when he took advantage of an unlocked cigarette cabinet around 3 p.m. yesterday, May 24, at the Westsyde Save-On-Foods.

The man is described as in his mid-30s, wearing a red t-shirt, grey sweatpants and a black ball cap. He was carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
