Celebrate Valentine’s Day at home: Light the candles, choose your music playlist and have a gourmet catered dinner at home. These local Okanagan restaurants are offering special menus for Valentine’s Day for take-out. With simple heating instructions, Valentine’s Day dinner will be all romance and no fuss.

Kelowna:

RauDZ Regional Table
One of the Okanagan’s best restaurants and now celebrating 20 years, RauDZ pioneered the farm to table concept as well as showcasing an all Canadian wine menu.

RauDZ’s take-out Valentine’s Day menu begins with three delectable canapés, followed by handmade artisan bread, and carrot & ginger soup. For the main entrée, choose between Angus beef NY striploin or applewood smoked spring salmon. For the finale, say good-night, with chocolate cherry terrine and raspberry cinnamon macarons.

Waterfront Wine Bar and Restaurant

Waterfront Wine Bar is celebrated as one of the Okanagan’s best fine-dining restaurants and showcases a hyper-local seasonal menu.

Waterfront’s take-out Valentine’s Day menu begins with your choice of duck liver paté & toasted baguette or roasted crab bisque. For the main entrée, choose between grilled peppercorn flat iron steak, or roasted sablefish with lobster and prawn. End the evening with a dessert of heavenly milk chocolate mousse and rum roasted banana ice-cream.

Bouchons Bistro

While you can’t go to Paris, you can find authentic French cuisine at Kelowna’s charming Bouchons Bistro.

Bouchons special take-out Valentine’s Day menu begins with a first course of either lobster mille feuille (french pastry) or terrine de foie gras. For the main entrée, choose between seared scallops, or duck legs confit. The dinner ends with a delicious cream puff served with your choice of red berries coulis or hot chocolate sauce.

One of Canada’s best winery restaurants, Old Vines is also a local favourite.

Old Vines special Valentine’s Day take-out menu begins with hot seafood chowder, followed by romaine & arugula salad and a main entrée of slow cooked lamb shoulder. The evening ends with an explosion of Chocolate Molten Cake.

Brasserie Provisions

The dynamic duo behind Front Street Brasserie, currently closed due to the pandemic, have opened Brasserie Provisions with a twice weekly menu either picked up or delivered to your door. The special custom menus are announced via their website and email notifications. Orders are limited and on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Brasserie Provision’s Valentine’s Day menu begins with rich Mozzarella di Bufala cheese served with cherry and sundried tomato compote and homemade Paris toasts. For the main entrée, dine on luxurious French style lobster tails with Thermidor sauce. The evening concludes with Tiramisu Mousse paired with delicate Italian Ladyfingers for dipping.

Brodo Kitchen

Penticton’s much loved Brodo Kitchen, known for their delicious soup, salads, and sandwiches also celebrates Friday, “Date Night” with a special take-out menu. The Friday “Date Night” menu is announced on Sunday via their Facebook and Instagram accounts and must be ordered by Thursday for pick-up or delivery on Friday afternoon.

Brodo’s special Valentine’s “Date Night” starts with crab and prawn tortellini, followed by a main entrée of slow-braised beef short ribs. For dessert, Brodo’s sinful dark chocolate pots de creme.

Bogners of Penticton

Bogners has long been Penticton’s restaurant destination to celebrate life’s milestones including birthdays, graduations and anniversaries.

Bogner’s special take-out Valentine’s Day menu begins with house-made cedar-plank charcuterie, followed by classic caesar salad or honey roasted Naramata pear salad. For the main entrée, dine on prosciutto-wrapped chicken saltimbocca. End the evening with heavenly Dark Chocolate Ganache Cake.

This Valentine’s Day, Start Fresh Kitchen is offering a four-course dinner, pre-mixed cocktails and a live-streamed concert.
The package includes instructional video and online Q&A with the chefs to help you prepare your meal like a master chef.
The meal starts with a Start Fresh Market Board, followed by an Okanagan Three Onion Soup, with the main attraction of a juniper-scented Duck Confit with a stunning Chanterelle & Beet Risotto and finished with a Dark Chocolate Raspberry Tart.
$200 all inclusive. Optional wine pairings from Niche Winery available.

Orders must be submitted by midnight on February 12. Pick-up on February 13 between 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. or have it delivered between 5pm-8pm for $6.95.
