Hot temperatures in Kamloops this weekend

Riverside Park is expected to be a popular place this weekend as temperatures in Kamloops are expected to soar.

KAMLOOPS - Time to hit the beaches this weekend as Kamloops prepares for some of the hottest weather of the year so far.

Environment Canada says Kamloops will see highs in the mid 30s over the weekend, with Sunday, July 29 topping out at 37 C.

Friday and Saturday will be sizzling as well, with highs of 35 C and lots of sun.

The temperatures have prompted a heat warning to be issued by Environment Canada.  Possible smoky conditions have also prompted a special air quality statement from Environment Canada.

Monday, July 30, expect temperatures once again at 35 C to start the work week, with a moderating trend expected to begin on Tuesday.
