QMJHL Roundup: Mercer's two-point night pushed Chicoutimi over Quebec, 3-1

CHICOUTIMI, Que. - Chicoutimi Sagueneens forward Dawson Mercer scored a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over the Quebec Remparts Sunday evening in Chicoutimi.

Pierrick Dube also scored a goal and an assist while Felix Lafrance's second period goal stood as the game-winning goal. Hendrix Lapierre also had two assists for Chicoutimi (11-3-3-2). Alexis Shank made 16 saves on 17 shots.

Gabriel Montreuil scored Quebec's lone goal (13-6-3-0) in the loss. Thomas Sigouin made 39 saves.

GATINEAU — Zachary Dean's two-goal effort helped the Gatineau Olympiques to a 4-2 win over the Sherbrooke Phoenix in Gatineau Sunday. The Phoenix blew a 2-0 lead by allowing four unanswered goals. William Dagenais and Metis Roelens also scored for Gatineau.

GATINEAU — Shawn Element and Sean LaRochelle each scored a pair of goals to power the Victoriaville Tigres to a 6-1 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. Benjamin Tardif added three assists in the win. Louis-Philippe Fontaine scored Rouyn-Noranda's lone goal.

Four different goalscorers helped Shawinigan to a 4-1 win over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar Sunday evening. Isiah Campbell, Xavier Bourgault, Maximilien Ledoux, and Anthony Bedard each scored a goal for Shawinigan. Nathael Roy scored the Drakkar's lone marker.
