QMJHL Roundup: Gaucher's two short-handed goals lead Remparts past Titan 3-1

QUEBEC - Nathan Gaucher had two short-handed goals as the Quebec Remparts downed the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 3-1 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Théo Rochette had the eventual winner for Quebec (9-1-0) early in the second period. Pier-Olivier Roy assisted on both of Gaucher's goals.

Goalie Fabio Iacobo made 25 saves for the win.

Jacob Melanson replied for Acadie-Bathurst (6-3-2) and Jan Bednar stopped 26 shots in net.

Neither team scored on the power play. The Remparts were 0 for 6 with the man advantage and the Titan went 0 for 5.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Charles-Antoine Dumont struck twice as the Voltigeurs blasted Chicoutimi.

Jérémy Lapointe tied the game 1-1 early in the second period as Drummondville (5-3-2) reeled off six unanswered goals, including five in the third period. Charlie Da Fonseca, Jacob Dion, and Daniel Agostino rounded out the attack.

Michaël Pellerin was the lone scorer for the Sagueneens (4-5-2).
