Leafs deal defenceman Fraser to Oilers for forwards Abney, Hartikainen.

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs traded defenceman Mark Fraser to the Edmonton Oilers for forwards Cameron Abney and the rights to restricted free-agent Teemu Hartikainen on Friday.

Fraser, 27, appeared in 19 games for Toronto this season and hasn't dressed for the past 11 contests. Fraser played in 45 games last year, registering eight assists and 85 penalty minutes.

Abney, 22, was Edmonton's third-round selection, No. 82 overall, in the 2009 NHL draft. The six-foot-five, 219-pound native of Aldergrove, B.C. is currently with the Bakersfield Condors of the East Coast Hockey League.

Hartikainen, 23, was Edmonton's sixth-round selection, No. 163 overall, in the 2008 NHL draft. He's currently playing for Ufa Salavat Yulayev of the Kontinental Hockey League, having registered 13 goals and 14 assists in 43 KHL games this season.
