TORONTO - Hockey fans are responding with a mixture of emotions to news of a tentative agreement between the NHL and its players.

Many fans say they are excited for the season to start after months of waiting — but a bitter taste remains.

At Toronto's Eaton Centre today, Kevin Bourne — who cheers for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators — says he was upset about the lockout at first but has moved on to other sports, like basketball.

And now that the season might be coming back, he says he won't be watching it as much as he did before.

The tentative deal to end the 113-day NHL lockout was reached early this morning following a marathon negotiating session that went through the night.
