BOSTON - Jarome Iginla scored a pair of goals, backup goaltender Chad Johnson made 29 saves and the Eastern Conference-leading Bruins won their eighth straight, 5-1 over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon.

Milan Lucic had a goal and two assists, Torey Krug and Chris Kelly each scored a goal and David Krejci added three assists, his first coming as he was falling to the ice on Lucic's score.

It's Boston's longest winning streak since a 10-game stretch in November 2011.

Alexander Semin had the goal and Cam Ward made 36 saves for the Hurricanes, who lost for the eighth time in 11 games.

Johnson, playing with regular goalie Tuukka Rask getting the day off, is 8-0-1 in his past nine starts.

CANADIENS 5, SENATORS 4, SO

MONTREAL (AP) — Francis Bouillon scored 1:26 into overtime as the Montreal Canadiens erased a three-goal deficit in the third period and defeated the Ottawa Senators.

David Desharnais tied it for Montreal with 1 second left in regulation for the Canadiens, who trailed 4-1 five minutes into the final period.

Lars Eller, Brian Gionta and Daniel Briere also scored for the Canadiens, who stormed back to end a three-game slide. Carey Price made 29 saves in his first NHL game since the Olympic break.

Jason Spezza, Zack Smith, Ales Hemsky and Clarke MacArthur scored for Ottawa, which has lost five of seven. Robin Lehner made 43 saves.

BLUE JACKETS 2, WILD 1

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Ryan Johansen scored a disputed goal in the fourth round of the shootout to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets over the Minnesota Wild.

Johansen's shot initially was ruled a rebound, but a video review showed that Wild goalie Darcy Kuemper did not touch the puck, making it a legal shootout goal.

The shootout capped a night of brilliant goaltending from the Blue Jackets' Sergei Bobrovsky and Minnesota's Kuemper. Bobrovsky stopped 32 of 33 shots through overtime, while Kuemper finished with 28 saves.

In the shootout, Zach Parise and Mikko Koivu scored for Minnesota, but Artem Anisimov and Mark Letestu rallied the Blue Jackets to set up Johansen's clincher.

FLYERS 4, PENGUINS 0

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Matt Read scored a pair of goals and the Philadelphia Flyers beat the short-handed Pittsburgh Penguins.

Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier also scored for Philadelphia, which is in the middle of a tightly bunched pack of teams battling for a playoff spot.

The Penguins, who are comfortably atop the Metropolitan Division, were shut out for the fourth time this season. Pittsburgh played without its third- and fourth-leading scorers, Chris Kunitz (lower body) and James Neal (concussion). The Flyers neutralized Pittsburgh stars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

Steve Mason made 25 saves for his fourth shutout of the season and 23rd of his career.

LIGHTNING 3, DEVILS 0

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Ben Bishop stopped 23 shots to set Tampa Bay's single-season record with 31 victories as the Lightning beat the New Jersey Devils.

Bishop (31-11-6) broke the mark held by Nikolai Khabibulin, which was set in 2002-03. It was Bishop's fifth shutout this season.

Michael Kostka had a goal and an assist for Tampa Bay, which has won two in a row following a five-game losing streak (0-3-2). B.J Crombeen and Nate Thompson had the other goals for the Lightning.

Martin Brodeur made 29 saves for the Devils, who were coming off a 5-3 loss Friday night at Florida. B

ISLANDERS 4, SABRES 1

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Frans Nielsen and Kyle Okposo scored first-period goals, and the New York Islanders went on to a victory over the Buffalo Sabres.

The Islanders (26-34-9) earned their 10th home win (10-17-8), and did it in a rare matchup against an opponent they are ahead of in the standings.

Backup goalie Anders Nilsson (3-4-2) made 33 saves and earned the win in his 15th NHL game. He lost his shutout bid 56 seconds into the third when Tyler Ennis scored a power-play goal. But the Islanders' two-goal lead was restored 39 seconds later when Ryan Strome scored his fourth goal. Cal Clutterbuck added an empty-netter with 2:13 remaining.

BLUES 4, PREDATORS 1

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Patrik Berglund scored twice to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Nashville Predators.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen had the other goals for the Blues, who have won seven of their last eight. The game also marked the fifth and final game of the season series between the Central Division rivals, with the Blues winning all five matchups.

Ryan Miller made 30 saves to improve to 6-0-1 since the Blues acquired him in a trade with Buffalo on Feb. 28. Two of those victories came against the Predators.

St. Louis is 19-0-2 against the Central this season.

Eric Nystrom scored for Nashville, which saw its three-game winning streak end.

COYOTES 3, FLAMES 2

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Shane Doan scored his 350th career goal on one of Phoenix's six third-period power plays and the Coyotes went on to beat the Calgary Flames.

Chris Summers got his first NHL goal and Rob Klinkhammer also scored to put Phoenix up 2-0 after one period. Calgary got power-play goals from Curtis Glencross and Mikael Backlund to tie it at 2 after two.

After a frustrating series of power plays, Rahim Vrbata rocketed a shot toward the net and Doan deflected it past Joni Ortio for the deciding goal with 11:11 to play.

DUCKS 2, KINGS 1

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Patrick Maroon scored the go-ahead goal, Frederik Andersen made 37 saves, and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Los Angeles Kings for their third straight win in the Freeway Faceoff rivalry.

Andersen and the Pacific Division leaders barely held off the Kings, who had a 38-20 shots advantage. An apparent tying goal by Anze Kopitar was waved off with 6:23 left because of incidental contact with Andersen, prompting Kings fans to litter the ice with debris.

Tim Jackman scored an early goal for the Ducks, who have won two straight after a four-game skid knocked them from their longtime perch atop the overall NHL standings.

Tyler Toffoli scored a power-play goal and Martin Jones stopped 18 shots for the Kings, whose eight-game winning streak was snapped Thursday by Toronto.
