TORONTO - James van Riemsdyk is likely to miss his second straight game with back spasms, Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle said.
Van Riemsdyk missed Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Wild and Carlyle does not believe the forward will be able to play tonight with the Carolina Hurricanes in Toronto.
Carlyle said van Riemsdyk would undergo two treatments on his back during the day. There is no timetable for his return, as the coach called his status "day-to-day."
