UPDATE: Highway 97 reopens following crash near Monte Lake
Highway 97 has reopened to single-lane alternating traffic near Monte Lake after a crash.
The 3000-block of Highway 97 is closed in one direction as police continue to investigate a two-vehicle collision that happened shortly before 10 a.m. today, June 19, according to an RCMP media release.
The closure is 10 to 12 kilometres east of Monte Creek, according to DriveBC.
"Be aware of heavy sand on roadway, signage is in place," DriveBC said.
Police offered no information about injuries or the condition of people involved.
