Delays can be expected along Highway 5 north of Barriere this morning after a vehicle incident caused the road's closure.

Drive B.C. is reporting the highway is open to single-lane, alternating traffic and delays can be expected.

The incident was reported by Drive B.C. earlier this morning, Oct. 27, between Barriere and Little Fort. The road was completely closed for several hours.

Images shared of the incident shows a semi-truck on its side. Cpl. Mike Halskov, with the RCMP Highway Patrol, said the incident only involved the semi truck and no injuries were reported.

Drive B.C. is expected to have another update by noon today.
