Rural Westside OCP and Zoning Application

The Regional Board has given second and third readings to a Rural Westside Official Community Plan (OCP) bylaw amendment and an amendment to the Zoning Bylaw.  The Strata for La Casa Resort has applied to the Province to purchase three Crown Land parcels in order to develop ATV access to Terrace Mountain Forest Service Road; a swimming pool and amenities; vehicle parking and a garbage transfer station.  A condition of the sale requires that the parcels be rezoned to accommodate Campground, Cabin and Motel Commercial uses.  Final readings will be scheduled once approval has been received from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure; a covenant is registered restricting density on the subject properties and the lands will be included within the North Westside Fire Protection Area boundary.
