KAMLOOPS - Whether you're looking to grab a cold one, listen to music or even do some yoga, there's plenty to do around Kamloops this weekend.
The Kamloops highland games take place on Saturday, July 14, at Albert McGowan Park in Upper Sahali. You can taste and learn about some great scotch, watch the caber toss and experience the pipe bands and dancers.
The six-time world champion Simon Fraser University pipe band will be playing, and you can sit in the beer gardens while they perform.
Festivities begin at 8 a.m. and you can learn more about the event here.
Another open mic night is being hosted by Red Collar Brewing on Sunday, July 15 at 4 p.m. You can grab your instruments or just head down for the show and a beer. For more on the event, go here.
The Summer Yogi Festival will take place at Privato Winery in Kamloops on Sunday. There are three classes you can take part in, including a wine and yoga class. A wellness market with several local vendors will also be set up.
Tickets are $35 for one class or $90 for the entire festival which includes all three yoga classes and a glass of Privato wine. For more information, go here.
As always, you can enjoy Music in the Park every evening this summer, and the downtown Farmers Market will be open on Saturday.
