KAMLOOPS - Investigators hope the public can help unmask a male suspect after he attempted to rob a Subway restaurant earlier this month.

On Saturday, Jan. 16, a male wearing a green bandana over his face entered the Subway restaurant on Summit Drive around 10:20 p.m. and demanded cash from a clerk.

The employee ran to the back of the store for safety while the suspect left without taking anything. The male is described as Caucasian with short, light coloured hair. He was wearing a grey ball cap and a dark coloured jacket with a white logo on the front left side at the time of the incident.

The area has regular vehicle and foot traffic and officials with Kamloops and District Crime Stoppers and Kamloops RCMP hope someone will come forward with additional information.

If you saw the suspect or have any information on the attempted robbery, you are urged to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000. To remain anonymous, call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-222-8477.
