Motorists driving to Alberta today should be prepared for a winter storm expected to bring more heavy snow to the Trans-Canada Highway between Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass.

A strong frontal system passing over the southern half of the province is expected to bring snow totalling 15 to 25 cm to Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass as well as to Yoho Park and Kootenay Park regions today.

Environment Canada says 5 cm of additional snow could fall before the precipitation tapers off this afternoon.

Be prepared to adjust to changing weather conditions.

Road conditions can be monitored at the Drive BC website.
