Heavy rain tonight, followed by a soggy weekend for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - Temperatures this weekend should hover around 11 C, lower than the average of 16 C for this time of year, according to the forecast from Environment Canada.

Kamloops should see a mix of sun and cloud today, Oct. 6, and a 40 per cent of showers later this afternoon. The high for today should peak at 16 Celsius. Winds could pick up later in the afternoon, possibly reaching 20 kilometres per hour. There's a 40 per cent chance of rain early this evening. Expect about 5 to 10 millimetres of rain overnight with high winds of 30 km/h.

The forecast says Friday has a 40 per cent chance of showers starting early in the afternoon. Prepare for high winds of 30 km/h in the morning, that become lighter in the afternoon. Friday's high should reach 14 C, with a low of 7 C overnight

Periods of rain and a high of 10 C are on the radar for Saturday. The forecast is calling for clouds, a low of 7 C and a 60 per cent chance of rain overnight.

Sunday should be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 11 C. The chance of rain carries on overnight and the low drops to 3 C.
