Grey skies for the Okanagan this week

KELOWNA - Clouds, showers and mild temperatures in the Okanagan this week with sunshine on Friday.

Today, April 17, is forecast to be a mix of everything, though mostly cloudy and a chance of showers according to Environment Canada, with a light breeze in the South Okanagan and chance of sun in the Central Okanagan. A high of around 15 Celsius is predicted for the Okanagan today. Overnight temperatures will fall to between 6 C in the North Okanagan and 9 C in the South Okanagan.

Tomorrow is predicted to be grey and cloudy throughout the region with a 60 per cent chance of showers and high of 14 C. The temperature will drop to 1 C overnight.

On Wednesday, the showers will take a break, but overcast skies will remain. A high of 14 C is predicted. Overnight, the temperature will fall to 6 C with cloudy periods and a chance of showers.

The cloudy streak continues on Thursday with a chance of showers and high of 14 C. It’ll be a cool night as the temperature is expected to fall to 3 C.

We should finally see some pleasant weather by Friday with a sunny day and high of 18 C expected.

Current predictions for the weekend show more cloudy weather with showers and warm temperatures, around 17 C during the day and 6 C at night.

The seasonally normal temperatures for this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 15 C and lows of 4 C.
