Canadian Drew Nesbitt takes off clothes to hit from water at Honda Classic

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Canadian Drew Nesbitt bared nearly everything to make the cut at The Honda Classic.

The Shanty Bay, Ont., native put his ball into the water off the tee during the second round at the par-4 6th hole at PGA National.

But instead of taking a penalty stroke, Nesbitt took off his shirt — exposing a serious farmer's tan — and rolled up his pant legs to hit the ball from a playable position in the water.

The decision paid off for the lefty, who punched the ball within 50 yards of the pin before eventually saving par.

Nesbitt finished the second round with a 1-over 71 for the second straight day and made the cutline at 2-over.

It's just his second career PGA Tour event after qualifying for the tournament on Monday.

Sungjae Im and Keith Mitchell shared the 36-hole lead at 6-under.

Adam Svensson of Surrey, B.C., is the top Canadian heading into the weekend at 4-under.
