The United Way CSO would like to invite you to celebrate giving and generosity by joining the Giving Tuesday movement! Here are some ways to get involved:
1. Support the movement by registering your organization (business, nonprofit, school, etc.) on the Giving Tuesday Okanagan webpage. It takes less than 5 minutes! Register here.
2. Join a Giving Tuesday Celebration in Kelowna or Penticton!
Penticton: City Hall at 10:00am – thanks to Tim Horton’s for providing the coffee and treats!
Kelowna: City Hall at 1:00pm – thanks to McDonald’s for providing coffee and treats!
The event will begin with a proclamation from the city’s mayor. After each proclamation, stick around to enjoy some coffee and snacks and spend some time connecting and celebrating with other Giving Tuesday Okanagan supporters. In addition, we’ll launching an initiative to share “150 Ways to Make a Difference by Giving” to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday next year. You are encouraged to show pride in your organization by bringing a banner or wearing your logo/company colours.
3. Looking to give the gift of time? Check out Volinspire’s Giving Tuesday resources and/or volunteer opportunities. United Way CSO is a proud partner of Volinspire, the platform of choice for the Giving Tuesday movement!
