KELOWNA — Police are hunting for a girl who robbed a man in wheelchair.
The girl approached the man outside O'Flannigan's Pub on Queensway Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. May 30 and asked him if he had change for the bus. While he was digging for coins, the took out $300 in bills which he intended to use to buy groceries and the female ran off with the cash.
The girl is described as a Caucasian youth, slim to medium build with short blond hair. She was wearing a white shirt, short white skirt and tennis shoes. A possible name for the alleged thief is Lisa.
Police are also looking to the public to help find the people responsible for a break and enter at the 400 block of Wardlaw Avenue May 31.
They say suspects entered the home using a patio chair to climb up and crawl through an open bathroom window, sometime between 12:30 and 2 p.m. They rummaged through all the rooms and made off with a long list of items by filling a red duffle bag from the home. The stolen items include an iPod Mini, Nano and Touch, a Sony Vaio laptop, Bose docking station, Panasonic Lumix camera and numerous Tiffany, Coach and Pandora jewellery pieces.
