There’s a jewel of a gift and lifestyle store in Kelowna. Fireweeds Boutique just celebrated its first anniversary. Drop by this December and you will find a store filled with warmth and beauty, and a great place to shop for unique one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your list.

We spoke with owner Lisa Luscombe about her design of the convenient retail store in downtown Kelowna on Ellis, as well as their popular online store and pop-up event presence around B.C.

Soothing for the Soul

“When people first come in, they notice our store smells like a spa. We feature bath, body, and beauty products that are all-natural and chemical-free. Everything is Canadian-sourced, vegan, and animal cruelty free. We focus on eco-friendly packaging and natural ingredients that emanate goodness,” Luscombe explained.

“We are first and foremost an indigenous-owned, woman-led business,” Luscombe added. “We curate our product inventory carefully and focus on working with Canadian and Indigenous brands that add beauty to our customer’s personal style, as well as to our homes.”

Something For Everyone

Looking for new gift ideas in Kelowna? Stop in for a health-reviving dose of “shopping therapy,” as Fireweeds Boutique has something for everyone. Clothing, gifts, jewellery, home décor, bath, and beauty products hail from significant Indigenous brands like Standing Spruce Farms, Alice & Sage, and The Rez Life. Popular and unique Canadian products, such as jewellery from Jools and Joplin, hats and bags from West Von, and superfood latte blends from Blume, are also featured.

Cultural Connections with Boutique Appeal

This is the best time of year to stop by the store or look online, to see the full selection of clothing, gifts, and home items available. Pick up a Christmas present from Decolonial Clothing Co. or Smudge the Blades, some soft wax candles from Crowfoot Collective, or your winter party make-up sparkle from Prados Beauty. There’s a little bit of B.C. heaven for everyone’s winter spirit. Click here to check out the Fireweeds Boutique website, or stop in and stock up on gifts today.
