Get cozy this winter at Peak Cellars
It’s winter time in the Okanagan but that doesn’t mean local wineries are slowing down.
Peak Cellars, located at 2290 Goldie Road in Lake Country, is offering a variety of food and wine pairings this season and is also participating in the yearly Dine Around the Okanagan experience. The winery is offering a special menu for Dine Around until Feb. 9.
Guests can enjoy a picturesque view of Okanagan Lake from the comfort of the winery’s Garden Bistro restaurant with plenty of seating and tasting options.
Try a Cheeky Peak Pairing at the bar with three different wine pairings and a bite to eat or go all out with the Peak Pairing Experience, offering a flight of four different wines and a delicious charcuterie board created using local, fresh ingredients.
Assistant bistro manager Jesse Joseph recommends sampling the 2020 Terraces Dry Riesling and the 2020 Glacial Till Pinot Gris. The riesling, with honeyed and floral characters, pairs wonderfully well with roasted meats and vegetables or even a creamy pasta.
He says a smoked pork chop pairs perfectly with the pinot gris. Its crisp, floral and fruity flavours will remind guests of springtime.
Peak Cellars' Garden Bistro is welcoming guests seven days a week. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere will keep visitors warm throughout the winter.
