As the price of gas trends downward, it’s dropped in some B.C. cities much more than others.

After passing the $2 mark earlier this year, the price for regular gas in Kamloops and the Okanagan is now in the range of $1.53.9 to $1.66.9.

Some of the lowest prices in Thompson-Okanagan can be found in Vernon, where two stations are selling regular fuel for $1.53.9, according to GasBuddy.com.

The best price for gas in Kamloops is the Petro Canada on Yellowhead Highway, where it’s going for $1.62.9. However Costco, which requires a membership to use the gas pumps, is selling it for 158.9.

Only one gas station in Kelowna is selling gas for as low as $1.62.9, aside from Costco which has it for $1.57.9.

The best deal for drivers in Penticton today is $1.64.9.

For anyone heading to the Lower Mainland today, it might be worth filling up in Abbotsford, one of the best deals in that area can be found at Chevron at McCallum Road in Abbotsford, where regular gas is just $1.41.9. In the Lower Mainland, the least expensive litre of regular is going for $1.49.9 at a Husky station in Surrey.
