KAMLOOPS - The weekend is almost here which means you might want some ideas on how to plan your days off.

From the return of Cache Creek’s Graffiti Days to an outdoor movie night, here are a few events to check out this weekend.

Starting Friday night, June 8, the village of Cache Creek will be hosting the 31st Annual Graffiti Days Weekend. The three-day festivities will kick off with an all age family dance at the community hall. There will also be different types of car shows, as well as a beer garden and barbecue. For a full list of when things start, go here.

If you're looking to head to Sun Peaks this weekend, the third annual Skate Sun Peaks longboarding event will take place June 9 and June 10.

The event is hosted by Landyachtz and the Kamloops Longboard Club and allows anyone with a longboard and a helmet to participate in some downhill skating. There will also be a place for spectators to watch from various locations around the track. Riders participating in the event will get to descend down the track all day long and get a free ride back to the top with the ski lift. To register, go here.

For those wishing to stay in Kamloops and have a more laid-back Saturday night, the Zimmer Autogroup will be hosting a free outdoor movie and vintage car show on Saturday night, June 8.

The event will take place outside of the Zimmer Wheaton Dealership on Notre Dame Drive. Bring your own lawn chairs, and sit back to enjoy “Smokey and the Bandit” starting at 9:30 p.m. There will also be food trucks available on site, as well as free pop and popcorn.

The Kamloops Saturday Farmers' Market, which runs from the spring until the late fall, will be open this weekend from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Check out some local vendors selling all sorts of food and crafts at the 200 block of St. Paul Street in downtown Kamloops.
