Free fitness for a week of no excuses starting Saturday

PENTICTON - This spring, it’s time for you to be free and fabulous.

With release of the new Spring-Summer Recreation Guide, the Penticton Community Centre celebrates the return of Try It For Free Week. From Saturday, March 28 to Friday, April 3, the public is invited to get their fitness on track for a price so good, there’s really no excuse left.

“Try It For Free Week is a great way for the community to check out the new recreation programs and classes available, to see if it’s the right fit for them,” said Penticton Mayor Andrew Jakubeit.

The Fitness Room will be available at no charge daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. For those new to the fitness room, certified personal trainers will be on hand for free advice on Monday 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Recreation also has one-on-one training or group sessions led by certified personal trainers.

TIFF Week is a great chance to explore the new group fitness schedule. New this year is Groove N’ Loose, designed to improve fitness in a light and easy-to-follow class. Other favourites include Zumba Toning, Belly Dancing for Beginners, Thai Chi and Basic Yoga.

Registration is required for classes and can be done by calling 250-490-2426. For a full schedule of the Try It For Free Week classes, go to www.penticton.ca/recreation or page 10 of the Spring Summer Recreation Guide.
