Four Okanagan restaurants made OpenTable Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants list this year, three in Kelowna and one in Oliver.

OpenTable is a nationwide online reservation service that breaks down more than one million restaurant reviews every year to showcase the finest venues based on diner ratings, cuisine, ambiance, décor and service.

The four restaurants to make the cut in the Okanagan are Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery in Kelowna, Old Vines Restaurant at Quail’s Gate Winery in Kelowna, Terrace Restaurant at Mission Hill Family Estate in West Kelowna and The Restaurant at Phantom Creek Estates in Oliver.

Ontario has 41 restaurants listed featured followed by BC with 20, Alberta has 19, Quebec 16 and Nova Scotia 3. Newfoundland and Labrador made the list with one restaurant called Portage. The majority of restaurants to make the list in BC are in located in Vancouver.

While OpenTable uses metrics including diner ratings, percentage of reservations made in advance and five-star review to determine the best of the best, the service also collects trends in the overall dining experience.
