Four more highrise towers proposed for Kelowna’s waterfront
An application has been filed with the City of Kelowna to rezone land in order to build four highrise towers on the waterfront next to the Waterscapes development on Sunset Drive.
There is no text describing the project in the application, also called Waterscapes, just drawings and information showing an application for a development variance permit to allow towers of 28, 32, 34 and 36 storeys.
The drawings show the four tours are proposed for the corner of Ellis Street and Industrial Avenue, just to the north of the two towers of One Water Street and east of the existing Waterscapes project.

The tallest One Water Street tower is 36 storeys and is currently the highest building in Kelowna, although Water Street by the Park has approval to build three towers on Leon Avenue, with the tallest being 42 storeys.

The existing Waterscapes is described on its web page as a luxury resort that consists of Waterscapes Skye Tower and a pair of four-storey apartment developments, The Herons and Osprey.
It’s built by Ledingham McAllister, the same company listed on the application documents for four new highrise towers filed with the city.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
