Drivers are being warned that flurries are expected on the Trans-Canada Highway starting Monday afternoon.
The snowfall is expected to continue into Tuesday, May 10, from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, according to a statement from Environment Canada.
Generally light flurries are expected along the highest elevation sections of the highway route," according to Environment Canada.
"Bouts of heavier flurries are possible but will be brief and localized. During this period, cool and unsettled conditions will keep snow levels near these high elevation sections."
Environment Canada is asking drivers to be prepare for changing travel conditions if snow accumulates quickly on roads.
A snowfall warning is also in effect for the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt and Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass.
