PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP are investigating the theft of firearms during a vehicle break-in last night.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police responded to a report of a vehicle break-in around 1:30 p.m. yesterday, Oct. 16, from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of Winnipeg Street.

Three firearms were reported missing including a Smith & Wesson revolver (serial number B3234), a Winchester .30-30 rifle and a .270 Weatherby Magnum rifle. The guns were all equipped with trigger locks.

Wrigglesworth says the owner approached the vehicle this morning, Oct. 17, and found the doors open, and firearms and ammunition missing.
