KAMLOOPS - Police have finished their search of a Dallas home and have seized firearms, drugs and cash.
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release when officers went to the residence on Tuesday, Jan. 16, following a home invasion, they saw several firearms in plain sight.
This instigated a request for a search warrant. After it was approved, officers entered the home a second time and explosive devices were found.
The RCMP's Explosive Disposal Unit from the Lower Mainland attended and disposed of two explosive devices and their parts, Shelkie says.
When the officers resumed their search, they found a number of firearms, an unspecified amount of Canadian cash and drugs.
A 20-year-old Kamloops woman was arrested and has been released with a future court date. She was previously known to police, Shelkie says.
Police are recommending charges of possession of a prohibited weapon.
The Kamloops RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit is still searching for the suspects in the original complaint of the home invasion.
