Firearm, drugs, IDs seized from truck with stolen plates in Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP arrested two men this past weekend after finding them working on a truck with stolen plates attached to it.

On Aug. 28, just before 10 a.m., officers patrolling the 1700 block of East Trans-Canada Highway found two men working on the red truck.

The two men were arrested for possession of stolen property, and police later found weapons in the truck, including a loaded firearm.

Officers also found drugs, paraphernalia, electronics and various identifications during their search.

RCMP said suspects were released pending the investigation’s outcome and charge recommendations.
