KELOWNA – A fight between two groups of men in downtown Kelowna landed one of them in hospital with stab wounds.
RCMP say the 19-year-old Surrey man was taken to Kelowna General by his friends early Sunday morning.
Police were called at 1:43 a.m.
The two groups of men had been fighting earlier that night in the 200-block of Leon Avenue near the Saphire nightclub.
“Both groups appear to be known to each other and are believed to be from Surrey,” Const. Kris Clark says in a media release.
No one else suffered serious injuries as a result of the scrap.
Clark says the investigation is ongoing.
