A man wanted by RCMP has been arrested in Calgary.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for 45-year-old Hasson Berrington Wilson last week after he skipped town.

Wilson, described as a First Nations male, standing 5'9" and weighing 186 pounds with black hair and brown eyes is considered violent and dangerous.

Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said he is unsure as to the details surrounding Wilson's arrest and is awaiting a report from Calgary.

He wasn't surprised Wilson turned up so far from Kamloops.

"His associates were known to be in Vancouver, and he had some friends in the Interior," Learned said. "Thinking like a criminal, you don't go somewhere where people would expect."

Learned said no charges are anticipated in Wilson's arrest.

"He would then go back to the institution for which he had been paroled," he said.
