TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts have released backup quarterback Zach Collaros.
The move comes less than a week after Argos GM Jim Barker speculated the 25-year-old quarterback might test the CFL free-agent waters next month.
Collaros was a 5-2 record as a starter last season while starter Ricky Ray was injured.
The six-foot-two, 216-pound Collaros becomes a free agent Feb. 15.
